Default i'll pay 10+ pounds for a new fully unlocked pve character

I'm a pvp player, i also want to use a good looking character with fancy armor and weapon ... etc but i don't have the time to go through all 3 chapters with new character. And tbh it's pretty boring after i've done it with 3+ characters.

So here i suggest Anet to sell a fully unlocked pve character for a price (10 pounds or so),
i) fully unlocked for all the skill in his/her profession;
ii) fully unlocked map so can go cap any elite for the secondary profession as well as buying new armor.

These kind of characters will NOT have any pve titles. So it's not like paying for titles.

this function doesnt affect pve players since it won't help with getting title (not like there's a competition anyway) and pvp players can be happy with the nice looking new armors. and Anet can make more money.

....what's the point of PvE if everything's unlocked/finished for you automatically?

no. it's not that you don't have the time to do it it is that you are too lazy to do it... if you don't make time to go through campaigns with new PvE chars, then you don't deserve the bonuses

Not that i'm lazy, just that i dont want to spend my time that way, i've done it with 3 characters already, the missions really are not fun anymore. To get one character ready for pvp is not just about finishing the campagins u have to go cap all the elites too, which take as much time as finishing one campaign....

My suggestion doesn't hurt anyone. And it's not for pve, i just want to pvp with cool looking armor and weapon (and maybe sometimes do some elite missions).

Maybe this option is only for an account with 2+ characters completed the game.

What next? Pay £1 to insta-pass the missions on masters?

The only problem I could see with this is that players that haven't built up experience playing through the game will suddenly be at high end PvE areas where mistakes are costly. Not to say this doesn't already happen, but it could potentially happen more. Having this option for people that have already completed the game with 2 characters might help, but they would still be lacking experience with the specific profession they choose.

I agree with Russell.Crowe.
The fastest and simplest way to get a work done is to do it. If you want something, then you'll need to work for it.

Your right...you know what? why dont we put ectos in for say £5 per 100 ectos...because ya know i'm finding it boring farming for them

On a serious note: No...just no. Getting that good looking armor piece in PvE takes your effort to put up with the campaign. If you find it boring doing the same thing...tough. Whats the point of PvE if you can just get a character fully loaded in seconds?.

What would be the point of PvEing anymore, if such an option would exist?
You can't get more powerful than an instantly created PvP-Char. In fact even being on even ground with instant-chars already is a very hard work.
Perfect weapons, capturing/buying all skills, crafting armor, getting all Runes/Insignias and probably several sets of each.

Oh yeah I forgot, the point was that if I can't be more powerful than an instant-char, I can at least LOOK better. Doesn't hurt any PvPer, but gives a great incentive for PvEing.
Why else would I farm and grind for weeks and months (and YEARS)?

Giving PvPers the ability to look as good as PvE-chars, that had to work for months to look like that, would be a punch in every PvE'ers face and make PvE a complete FARCE.

Sorry PvP-only players, you can't have everything. You already got perfect equipment and can unlock all skills for some $$$.
If you don't want to look like an instant-char, don't create one. Go through the grind- and farm threadmill like everybody else.

[edit] Not to mention that it would thin out the PvE-population, and make it even harder to find people for missions (than it already is with the introduction of heroes). Would be very frustrating for newcomers, just as it has been when you could create level 20 chars in DAoC, once you had a max level on your account.

I don't like the idea. Why not just use faction to unlock exclusive pvp armor if that's what pvprs want?

I kind of agree, kind of don't, but I think there should be more freedom that what this game currently allows. trobinson97 has got the right idea I think.

Wilhelm, you're an idiot. "10 pounds of what"

If they were to do this, you could pretty well guarantee the death of Guild Wars, as PvE players would cease playing.

Amazing, talk about a kick in the groin to all PvE players.

I think a better angle, would be to grant PvP characters more appearance options. Since basically it sounds to me, like you find PvE a chore, rather than somthing you like playing. So instead of having maxed out PvE characters that you could buy for real cash (an idea I think many people, including ANet, would not condone) it would be far more reasonable to have additional customizations for PvP toons.

Now for all the folks who say "PvP players don't care about appearances!", "If they want good looking characters, they should make PvE toons!", and "Anet will never do this!", just remember the following:

PvP players clearly do care about appearance, as a member of a PvP guild, I know of a lot of players who will clear an entire campaign, just to get X elite, or certain armor. This is especially true for GvG, where certain players will have certain key characters they play often (monks and warriors seem especially prone to wielding their E-Peen enhancing gear in PvP).

As for the "You should make a PvE character if you want to look good" argument. I simply say: why? So long as the challange to aquire the added appearances in PvP was equal to those in PvE, I don't see an issue with it. By that I mean, these new appearances would not be open to you initially, but you would have to unlock them somehow. Perhaps a certain amount of balthazar faction, they could even introduce collectors items to PvP, similar to sigils, which could in turn be traded in for account wide PvP rewards.

And finally to those nay-sayers who think ANet wouldn't do such a thing; they've already started. With multiple armour possibilities on PvP toons, along with dyes for weapons and armour.

i would like that good idea.

------------------

pve is for fun, the game is for fun. if u dont like a particular part of it dont do it. but if there's something that can be done which doesn't hurt nobody and can make someone happy at the same time why not? Pve to me is a different game play, not a way to get armor and weapon. It's not like buying ecto on ebay with real money that will mess up the economics, it's just save me time to go through everything for a few times. All i want just map and skill unlocked. Does it affect anyone in anyway? No.

there's someone saying $1 for master mission, but hey if u can't get the title for it then would you still think it's worthwhile?

One said "Giving PvPers the ability to look as good as PvE-chars, that had to work for months to look like that, would be a punch in every PvE'ers face and make PvE a complete FARCE." I don't know what do pve players think, but i hope they don't play because they want to look good (especially to look better than pvp character). If you want to compete with pvp player (in a way) then imo it's the pve titles, not the armor.

I play pve because it's fun. Not just to get the uber gear. I understand the OP's point, but that is not the way to go. I don't think it would stop the pve'rs, but pvp'rs need to earn their stuff like everyone else.

Stop trying to turn PvE into PvP! It would kill that half of the game completely. If you want a ready-made, level 20 character with max stat stuff right from the start, then make a PvP character! So what if it doesn't have the nicest looking armor and equipment? That's not the point.
